As sustainable development has been an important challenge in contemporary society, various projects for this goal have been progressing worldwide.
The Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs, were adopted at the UN Sustainable Development Summit in September 2015. SDGs are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace, and justice. The 17 Goals are all interconnected, and in order to leave no one behind, it is important that we achieve them all by 2030.
Daiwa supports these goals through such activities as research and development of dietary supplement and livestock feed ingredients that are derived from natural materials, effective use of unutilized resources, and construction of a global partnership network, in accordance with our vision “to help people live healthy lives and enhance their overall well-being by applying the principles of bioscience while respecting the laws of nature”.
